Source Audio Artifakt [FX w/ Synthesizers #18] No Talk Audio Demo
Artifakt by Source Audio. Lo-fi, low grade reverb, bit-reduction, tape hissy, AM Radio goodess. Today I'm running some synths and electro gear through the Artifakt pedal, see what modes I've been vibing with. Pedal was edited all manually - on computer. No presets were used - So you'll see a pic of pedal starting point settings w/ each audition. Dry audio preceeds FX auditions...well usually. Recorded direct to Tascam DR-05, no other effects or mastering beyond routine normalization.

Modbap Per4mer Performance FX [USER REVIEW + Demos] Eurorack
Today I am giving a user review of the Per4mer FX module by Modbap Modular.
The Per4mer is a DJ-Style Quad FX module designed with Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, and Glitch music in mind.
But it also dishes up well for Trap, experiemental, and ambient excursions for sure.
But is Per4mer worth the coin?
Is it the right module for you?
I will be giving some quick thoughts about the build, and dig into some beat and loop mangling.
At the end I give some concluding remarks weighing the pros and cons.
My videos are not sponsored by anyone.
I purchased this product with my own moolah.
So you can expect my own objective opinions and observations.

Alesis Ineko FX Pedal Demo w/ A Synthesizer #11 [unboxing?]
This is the fabled Alesis Ineko effects pedal. Hasn't been out of the box in a while, time to unleash the Kraken. It's like the culmination of all the algorithms that appeared in Alesis modfx effects pedal series. It doesn't look like much, but it is very tweakable and has a few surprises. Like a lo-fi playground for happy accidents. Today I want to share w/ you what it sounds like on synthesizers, drum machines and stuff like that.

Spring Tank Reverb Eurorack Prototype Module
Today I am showing my prototype Spring Tank Reverb module. It's a driver for old school spring tanks like those found in vintage mixers and guitar amplifiers. The driver module has controls for Drive, Tone brightness and darkness, wet/dry mix, and an input for sending CVs to control the wet/dry mix. I'm using an envelope for CV, Beatstep Pro for trigger sequencing, and beats are coming from the Future Retro Transient. I also run the signal through my dual channel compressor, using a trick where both channels are cascaded for additional compression. I also briefly punch in some delay from Timefactor. Audio was recorded direct to Tascam through a Mackie mixer. EDIT: I noticed some users are connecting this to things that are not eurorack systems. To assist you w/ your efforts here are the active pins on the power input.

Synthesis Technology E560 Deflector Shield Demo Eurorack Module
Today I demonstrate the Synthesis Technology E560 Deflector Shield module. It is a digital effects module that has Frequency Shifting, Ring Modulation, and Phase Shifting. There's not as much talking in this one. I read the documentation and still don't fully understand everything that is going on. But it sounds absolutely wicked.
I show what effect all controls have on the sound. This demo uses a simple sawtooth from my Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizer Box as the sound input. Each knob has its own dedicated CV input, as demonstrated by passing a triangle LFO also from the Synth Box to each CV input as an example.
There are a tonnage of little sweet spots. Paul Schreiber has done an amazing job on this one. This module stereo outputs were sent to my Mackie mixer and panned hard left/right, and recorded direct to a Tascam DR-05 w/ no other effects or production so the E560 can shine in all its glory.
