SH5-VCF: Beauty & Terror [Demo #3] (no jibber-jabber)

Some Darkscape Eurorack patches featuring the SH5-VCF.
Exploring some near-oscillation resonance sounds.
And frequency modulation of the VCF which this diode filter is so good at.
This time around using Big Sky Reverb and Timefactor Delay.
If you want to hear the naked filter alone the first two demos I made were bone dry no effects :D

I used different colored patch cables, so maybe you can glean what is going on.

SH5-VCF is all-analog eurorack adaptation of the Roland SH-5 Synthesizer Filter and Mixer.

As per usual, listening w/ headphones or quality monitors is the best audio experience.

Behringer Neutron First Patch [Demo #1]

Today a first patch soundscape/sequence on my new muse,
the Behringer Neutron. Listen that on headphones. No, really.

I haven't come across any compelling demos on the Neutron.
It has great specs, but not much attention was given.
Until I had a chance to play one last weekend at the Dallas Synth Meet.
HOLY SHNITZEL. This thing blew me away.
The analog BBD delay section is one of the nicest.
So responsive, expressive,
...and lovely thick feedback harmonics.
You can ride the feedback right up to pure chaos, then
back away. It will abide your every move.
And every time I tweaked something it got better and better.
I am really looking forward to getting more cutting edge
sound design with this one!

Erica Synths Sample Drum USER REVIEW Eurorack [Pt. 2/2]

Today I am continuing my user review of the Erica Synths Sample Drum. I will be covering the On-Board Effects, CV Mapping, Performance Mode, Saving Projects, and global settings. Taking a much needed break from building modules, to actually play them! Some downtempo/chillout/ambient textures. Four of my SH2-VCF filters are getting fed with:
1) Pittsburgh Synth box, arpeggio
2) DNA Symbiotic Waves, bass sweeps
3) Low Tom Drone using self-osc sine, Bastl Skis VCA
4) Rozendall CEM3340 VCO, arpeggio

Some post processing, comp, EQ, etc in Cubase 7.

Ecstasy (Deep Desire Remix) [Dreamy Electronic Music]

Chill out to this dreamy electronic music remix. Textures from the Alesis Andromeda are layered with eurorack sounds, and a TR-8 providing 909 rhythms. Listening with an appropriate sound system or headphones is recommended. Video edited in Adobe Premiere Elements.

Oberheim Matrix-12 Demo

This is sound demo of the Oberheim Matrix-12 synthesizer. All but two of the patches are my original creation and hopefully shows some of the ridiculously flexible sound architecture that is possible with this board. I'm playing some riffs both of my own original music and from some of the bands that have influenced me. The last bit, Intro to Gunslinger, while it is short it DID take a couple of weeks practice to get it right and is backed by a Machinedrum.
